After much deliberation...

I'm going to Maryland Sheep $ Wool. Yay! It's six o'clock in the morning and I've already formulated my attack plan. I couldn't sleep and was up at FIVE. I don't even get up that early for work. blech. Anyhoo, I printed out the festival map and wrote in my must-sees. Dan and I are going to a wedding this afternoona and Janine is meeting me at MS$W after we're done. Caren, I'll be sure to take some pictures for you.

Dishcloth Queen

Img_0440

I have knit three dishcloths in the past week and a half. I'm making several as gifts, but I hope I don't tire of them before I have time to make some for myself. Someone was rather horrified when I told him they were dishcloths and wondered why you would use something nice and handmade to wash skanky dishes. Isn't it nicer to wash dishes with something handmade and pretty, especially if they were made with you in mind? They're a bit like socks, meant to wear out. I can always make more!

I do worry that knitting dishcloths is lame and some kind of cop-out. Do you think that? They so small and you can do anything with them. They keep me interested, something I always have a problem with.

On the puppy front, we have one week from today until we meet Johnny Cash (just trying it out.) I went out this morning and bought a leash, food bowl, puppy training pads, and, of course, treats. I can hardly wait to get him.

Knitting and life

I just finished and mailed off the shawl LeeAnn commissioned. It's simple, but I'm quite pleased with it. I have more pictures of this and a couple of other finished objects in the photo gallery.

Most of you know what's been going on around here lately, so you know why I haven't been around. Sorry to those of you to whom I've been bitching. I know it's hard to be on that end of someone's misery.

I'll write more soon. Love to you all and Happy, Happy Holidays!
